The WmegaTracŪ power wheelchair utilizes two group-24
batteries for maximum range, performance and mobility.
Batteries are held in individual, non-conductive containers for
safety and ease of handling. Each battery is installed on a pull
out battery tray that slides out and down to make loading,
handling and servicing easier. Battery connector plugs are 175
amp type used on electric fork lifts. Primary wiring is #6 AWG.

Proportional control is provided through our [programmable]
joystick or chin-stick controls. The
WmegaTracŪ adjustable
joystick mounting bracket allows placement for best function on
either the left or right arm. A speed control knob allows for
driver adjustment of maximum speed when desired. .

Switchit and other specialized controls are available with the
WmWmegaTracŪ.

Footrests are available in multiple configurations. Swingaway
lift off 80 degree footrests are standard with options of
70-degree, 90-degree and elevating legrests. Optional latches
prevent the legrests from being accidentally lifted from the fully
down and locked position.

Attendant comfort and ease of use are important factors in the
design of the
WmegaTracŪ. Manual operation is actuated by
simply grasping the release lever mounted on one of the push
handles and moving the chair as needed. When the push
handle squeeze lever is released, the chair is stopped from
movement, eliminating the possibility of unsafe free-wheeling in
possible runaway downslope situations. For added safety,
motor driven chair operation is inhibited while the drive system
is disengaged.

The thermoformed shroud provides an easily cleaned barrier
that shields the user from the wheel splatter normally
experienced while driving power wheelchairs. Our shroud also
forms an effective barrier to keep extremities and clothing
items safely away from the chair's moving parts.

Specialized seat multi-mount rails are an exclusive feature
on the
WmegaTracŪ. Our mounting rails allow for seating
adjustment to improve chair balance and performance as well
as optimize the seat's position as required for the users needs.
TEFTEC provides bracketry for many types of alternate seating
systems and can custom manufacture mountings for most types
of alternate seating.

Among all powered wheelchairs, the WmegaTrac'sŪ patented
standard suspension is unique. When this suspension
system was introduced in 1995, it was only a few months when
manufactures of other powered wheelchairs claimed to have
suspension. However, the truly innovative suspenson of the
WmegaTracŪ stands alone in its ruggendess, travel, control,
and stability. This rugged, highly compliant automotive type
suspension provides safety, stability and comfort on any
surface. Exclusive to the
WmegaTracŪ, our patented
suspension system maintains a torsionally limber and properly
balanced chair.
WmegaTracŪ has full four-wheel suspension
allowing safe and comfortable travel for the driver without the
rough ride of other power chairs.

Dual springs in both the front and rear allow the chair's ride to
be customized according to the driver's weight and
preferences. Front and rear hydraulic shock absorbers work in
harmony with the springs to soften any impact or rough terrain
that is encountered.

The optional adjustable pneumatic suspension package
allows for 3" of front, rear or overall frame height adjustment at
the driver's control. In the lowered position, the
WmegaTracŪ
may reach as low as a 14.5" seat height. Adjustable
suspension may eliminate the need for van height
modifications, work site changes, table height adjustments and
other functional or environmental considerations. adjustable
suspension also allows adjustment for terrain, weight or chair
load changes, allowing the chair to be tailored to specific client.

The
WmegaTracŪ was designed for versatility. Multiple seat
types can be mounted on the
WmegaTrac'sŪ frame, and seat
placement can be altered for optimal balance and functionality.
With standard configurations,
WmegaTracŪ far out-performs
any other chair on the market. However, when required, gearing
can be adapted to answer specific needs for added speed,
climbing, environmental considerations or towing capacity. ·
Custom capabilities for larger seating and weights supply
reliable mobility for clients with extra need for size or power.

WmegaTrac'sŪ front wheel drive allows for a turning radius
under 31" making it extremely agile as well as fully functional as
an outdoor chair. Its narrow footprint, down to 24.3 inches,
allows mobility that may not be available to other power
wheelchairs. Our four wheel suspension supports outdoor
usage and rough terrain as well as flat, smooth surfaces without
the problems associated with other power chairs.

For the first time in powered wheelchair history, the
WmegaTrac'sŪ patented TransAxle system supplies straight
and consistent tracking while driving. Now the industry can have
a front wheel dirve powered wheelchair that is directionally
stable, even at speeds 2 to 3 times the maximum speed of
other front wheel drive power chairs. Obstacles that have beem
historically impassable and/or unsafe for other power
wheelchairs are safely handled by our exclusive drive system.
No other chair in the industry can supply the fine control,
consistent driving, and reliable, safe response that makes the
WmegaTracŪ the ultimate in performance, safety and comfort.

Standard fixed seating is available in sizes from 14" wide by
14" deep through 20" wide by 20" deep in 2" increments. Back
heights are available in a variety of sizes, with custom sizes
available to suit driver requirements. Height adjustable flip-up
arms and 80-degree swingaway footrests are standard on the
WmegaTracŪ. Seating surface is available as solid or sling
with sling-back upholstery standard. Seats are offered in
standard colors: black, blue, red and hammered gray. Optional
colors include candy apple red, candy apple blue, pink, twilight
glitter, metallic purple and teal green. Our optional adjustable
seat includes a growth adaptable frame that accommodates
width and depth expansion in 1" increments, 24 degrees of
back-angle adjustment, flip-up arms, swingaway footrests, and
solid or sling seat with sling back upholstery is standard. This
seat provides the ability to alter for changes in client size,
seating needs, growth or changing needs with a minimum of
cost or time.

WmegaTracŪ utilizes our patented TransAxle drive assembly.
This tough transmission and drive axle unit gives unparalleled
driving and steering control over flat, twisting or slanting
surfaces. Directional instability is an issue that has plagued the
industry in rear wheel drive chairs and caused a certain
wariness about front-wheel drive wheelchairs. The
WmegaTrac'sŪ exclusive drive system removes this problem -
effectively eliminating directional instability. Unlike any other
power chair, the
WmegaTracŪ has only one drive motor,
supplying power to both wheels equally. This design allows the
WmegaTracŪ to use a larger more durable drive motor which
decreases service needs and increases mobility access. ·
Designed and manufactured for durability and long service, its
construction is unchallenged in the wheelchair industry. All drive
gears are supported by either ball or roller bearings. No worm
gear reduction is used in the drive section of the transmission.
This anti- friction protection translates into more hours running
between charges. The drive gears are very large and made of
aircraft grade heat treated steel. Gears and drive axles are
larger than most, if not all, full size front wheel drive
automobiles. The TransAxle is lubricated by an oil bath to keep
it running cool, quiet, efficiently and with maximum
performance. Oil changes are not normally required.
